3D Printed Clock Face
Spring 2022
Spring 2022
After finding a clock mechanism at Goodwill, I was immediately sent down to path to design and 3D print my custom clock face. Inspired by the Arabic Rolex dials, I used SolidWorks to import images of Arabic numerals and used the auto trace sketch function so that I could extrude each number individually. From there, I imported the STL into Prusa Slicer, where I specified that I wanted to incorporate two different filaments into my print. Lastly, I started my print and patiently waited for my time to switch from blue to black filament. Once the face was printed, assembly into the mechanism was as easy as turning a few nuts in the correct order, and soon after that, the clock was mounted to my wall.
